Corporate History
2000 G-cluster is founded and starts to operate in Finland.
2001 As the pioneer in cloud gaming, in the E3 tradeshow in Los Angeles G-cluster for the first time demonstrates the platform in public by streaming games to Compaq iPaq devices over Wifi.
July 2003 Broadmedia Corporation launched its game business in collaboration with Oy Gamecluster Ltd. (henceforth referred to as Oy Gamecluster) of Finland. Test service started.
Oct. 2004 Broadmedia launched its commercial (fee-based) Game on Demand Beta service using G-cluster technology.
July 2005 Oy Gamecluster became a subsidiary of Broadmedia.
Jan. 2008 Broadmedia spun off its game business and launched it as a separate company. Oy Gamecluster is a wholly-owned subsidiary of G-cluster Global corporation.
July 2010 G-cluster technology licensed to T’s TV, a TV-based VOD service operated by Broadmedia.
Oct. 2010 The Game-on-Demand service launched for SFR.
